Nadeen Elrashidy

Born on the 4th of August, 1993, Nadeen El Rashidy is an Egyptian artist who grew up in Egypt. Ever since she was a little girl, painting has been her passion.

At the age of ten, she was mentored by Egyptian artist Ekram Omar, spouse of late artist Mamdouh Ammar. From their lessons together, she learned a lot that allowed her to take off in the direction of developing her own path and style.

Nadeen has since taken many painting courses at the University of the Arts London throughout the years, alongside studying Visual arts at the American University in Cairo, and graduating in the summer of 2017.

After experimenting with many mediums, lately Nadeen has taken a special liking to the specific combination of Acrylic and oil paints. Normally oil and acrylic paints do not go well together but Nadeen has found a way to make it work that creates a dream-like effect in all her paintings. Focusing on layering, texture, and depth, Nadeen’s methods and techniques are ever evolving but her signature style has remained present throughout the evolution of her work and there is always an element of magic and a touch of surrealism in all her paintings.
